Smart home control

Catherine doesn't just run your business — she runs your home too. Lights, cameras, doorbell, thermostat — all controlled from the same conversation you use for everything else.

No more switching between five apps. One person. One message.

How it works

Catherine connects to your smart home devices through the platforms you already use. Tell her what to do and she handles it:

  • "Turn off the living room lights"

  • "Set the thermostat to 22 degrees"

  • "Show me the front door camera"

  • "Lock the back door"

Supported platforms

Catherine works with major smart home ecosystems:

  • Google Home — Lights, thermostats, speakers, cameras

  • Home Assistant — Full local control of any connected device

  • Smart switches and plugs — Direct control via supported protocols

Note: Smart home integrations are configured during onboarding. Contact us if you need a specific platform connected.

What she can control

Lighting

  • Turn lights on/off by room or zone

  • Adjust brightness and colour

  • Set schedules: "Turn on the porch light at sunset every day"

Climate

  • Set temperature targets

  • Switch between heating and cooling modes

  • Create schedules: "Set it to 20 degrees at night, 23 during the day"

Security

  • View camera feeds

  • Lock and unlock doors

  • Arm and disarm alarm systems

  • Get alerts: "Tell me if anyone approaches the front door after 10pm"

Appliances

  • Smart plugs and switches

  • Robot vacuums

  • Garage doors

Automations

Catherine can set up smart home routines:

  • "Every morning at 6:30, turn on the bedroom lights slowly and set the coffee machine to brew"

  • "When I say 'goodnight,' turn off all lights, lock the doors, and arm the alarm"

  • "If the temperature goes above 28, turn on the AC"

She manages these like standing instructions — they run automatically until you change them.

Why this matters

Most smart home setups require juggling multiple apps — Ring for the doorbell, Hue for the lights, Nest for the thermostat, Google Home for the speakers. Catherine replaces all of those interfaces with a single conversation.

One person, not ten apps.
